Happy Feet

Hat Day

Ok I lie, my feet aren't that happy they are sore from all the walking we did today lol.  They were happy when we started out though :-)
Let's start at the beginning.I woke up early and did the usual breakfast and bath thingie.  Got dressed and walked into town to get my 10 minutes on the toning machine.  Then walked back home.  The wind was blowing hard and it almost blew me away a couple of times.  It was a also a very cold biting wind, so changed jackets when I got back to the house.  My mom gave me a thick wool jacket to wear that was quite warm.  So we bundled up, and my mom, dad and I headed into Edinburgh on the 9:56 am train.  When we landed in Edinburgh we started back up the Bridges again.  We needed to go to a fabric/sewing shop that we visited a couple of days ago for some stuff that we didn't get the last time we were there lol.  After we got what we went in there for, we headed down to Rose Street to have lunch at Milnes Pub.  I decided to be bad today and finally have my fish and chips...lol  I haven't had fish and chips since I arrived and you can't come to Scotland and not have fish and chips.  You should have seen the size of the piece of fish they gave me, it was enough to feed Jesus and all 12 of his disciples hahahaha.  My mother's piece  was even bigger.  Both of us couldn't finish it.  My dad had a vegetable patch pie which looked quite yummy too.  It was a pastry pot full of vegetables and gravy.  We came away from the pub with our bellies stuffed :-)

After the pub, we walked back down Rose Street to Primark to look at a couple of things.  Then we walked down Princes St to PC World so I could get a new pair of headphones.  From there we headed to the other end of Princes Street to John Lewis.  Had a latte at the upstairs cafe at John Lewis, then headed for the 3:08 pm train back to Dunbar.  When we got to Dunbar it was raining, so got out the umbrella (the first time my umbrella has been put to use since I got here lol) and walked home.
So that was my day,  Don't know what the weekend holds as we don't really have any plans.  Its supposed to snow again starting Sunday into Monday.  So I guess if I want to do a real nice long walk I will probably have get myself out tomorrow and do it.
